WAS it just a dream? I’m pretty sure I saw the story in the Star last August heralding the start of ‘the big improvements’ at Windle Island.
I seem to recall someone said it would be completed by early 2018.
We are now into the new year and if this were a game of spot the difference you would be scratching your head to identify one.
You hardly ever see any workforce there for longer than a couple of days.
I remember seeing one bloke (I couldn’t see any other workman on the site) shovelling soil from a hole to a barrow. Not joking, my three-year-old granddaughter could have shifted it faster with her bucket and spade.
Does anyone from the council ever monitor the progress or lack of it at this major junction?
