Turbulent names
I WONDER which bright spark came up with the idea of giving every strongish gust of wind a personal name?
We’ve just had Storm Eleanor and I wonder how all the Eleanors amongst us feel about being associated with turbulent wind, unless of course they’ve been on the sprouts over Christmas.
And why have so many of our TV weather presenters become drama queens, giving the forecast as though the UK was about to be swept by bubonic plague.
