JUST a quick word of thanks to the team at the Sanderson Suite in St Helens Hospital.
I had to go in here for a very unseasonal spot of plastic surgery on my nose and forehead just after Christmas.
Now I have to admit I’m a right mardy-pants when it comes to scalpels. My blood pressure went well off kilter and my pulse threatened to pop the machine.
But the staff there: consultants, nurses and even Vincent who wheeled me back after the op were all real stars.
The surgeons and theatre staff helped me relax, with one of the team even stroking my shoulder as each anaesthetic jab went in.
Later my nurse gave me my ‘going home’ instructions in such a clear way that even someone as dense as me could remember them.
So many people enjoy knocking St Helens, but I bet you won’t find any better places in the country for such professional, caring and cheerful staff.
Grateful patient (details supplied)
