I AM an 87-year-old pensioner and I was due to attend Whiston Hospital on December 4, when Arriva bus drivers were staging one of their strikes.
It cost me tens of pounds in taxi fares and I have no chance to recoup this money.
While I am sympathetic towards the drivers and I hope that they get what they want it is making life difficult for us all particularly at Christmas.
As pensioners we cannot go on strike for a rise.
