I READ a lot in the Star about the discoveries of cannabis farms and arrests for supplying the drug.
What I also notice increasingly is the stench of this drug in different places around the town.
It would appear it is being smoked with increasing frequency by people as they are walking around.
As far as I’m aware it is not legal to smoke this Class B drug.
So are police actually prosecuting offenders for possession?
The NHS is clear that smoking cannabis leaves some people feeling confused, anxious or paranoid. Some experience panic attacks and hallucinations and it can interfere with their ability to drive safely.
It is also says that people who use cannabis regularly, can end up demotivated and uninterested in things.
I wonder at times about the consequences this drug is having on the society.
