REGARDING the reports from Star readers about used needles being dumped in locations across St Helens.

The blame lies with successive Governments who have refused to enforce the law against illegal possession and the use of drugs.

Drugs have been decriminalised in everything but name.

Politicians have given up as use snowballed and now every member of society is put at risk, particularly children.

Unless laws for possession of illegal substances are enforced, things will only worsen.

I believe we need to elect politicians with moral fibre to force the change society requires.
