EVERY household in the Toll Bar area has been sent letters by the council regarding bins being left out from week to week after collection day.

Also, there is a growing problem of fly-tipping in the back alleys.

These letters state anyone found leaving their bins out and fly-tipping could face heavy fines.

That’s all very well done but these warnings need to be carried out.

Despite these letters being sent, there are still numerous bins being left out and fly-tipping continues to be a nuisance.

If my memory serves me right, we were sent the same letters more than 12 months ago and nothing improved then.

I can’t understand why the council doesn’t carry out these warnings and issue fines, otherwise it’s a waste of tax payers’ money sending these letters out in the first place.
