FIRST of all, could I please thank the lady and gent who came to my aid on August 24 when I took a bad fall on Leach Lane at about 10.30am.

Thank you to the lady who drove me home I’m OK but very badly bruised!

Secondly, I read the Star’s report on the lady who had breast cancer and was praising the Lilac Centre.

I totally agree with everything she said but feel a lot of services within the NHS have been overlooked.

I had a left mastectomy and lymph nodes removed under my left armpit but I also had a reconstruction at the same time.

I can’t thank all of them enough: from the oncology consultant, the radiology for all the scans I had, ward 2A after my operation, the staff at Clatterbridge and Aintree following my radiotherapy, my MacMillan breast cancer specialist, the Burney Breast unit and Dr Browne at Rainbow Medical Centre.

After everything that I went through, and it was a lot, I was amazed at how caring, dedicated and inspiring these team of professionals are and the constant level of care from start to finish made it more bearable.

Thank you all.
