I WAS proud to take part in the Ride 4 Violet-Grace.
So many turned out and not just from St Helens but from across the north west.
It was a bit emotional on the ride itself to see so many people along the route turning out to clap, wave and give their support.
The patience of all other road users that were held up on their journeys as we passed was admirable.
