ST HELENS Council has a difficult job and not enough money but that does not make it brave as ‘Rainford Resident’ claims.


How is letting the country’s richest property developers build where they want being brave?


Is a Labour Council meekly bending over backwards to help the Conservative government cover its austerity cuts at the expense of its own residents ‘being brave’?


Does burying Haydock and Newton under warehouse and logistics centres count as bravery? 


What exactly is brave about lazy planning that takes the easy green belt option?


The only remotely brave thing I can see is having a plan based entirely on “Unexplained Population Change” and pushing forward on such shaky ground.

However, that is less heroic when you start hiding behind Central Government.
