OVER the Christmas period Hope House, for the 10th year running, opened its doors to the homeless of St Helens and we want to say a huge thank you to the local companies and individuals who donated food and gifts, and to our amazing volunteers who gave their time to help provide breakfasts and Christmas dinners to the homeless.
As well as being fed people were given a present and a new set of clothes and had an opportunity to access personal care too.
For those of you who don’t know about Hope House, it’s part of the Hope Centre, which engages with the homeless and people at risk of becoming homeless with its doors being opened Monday to Friday 52 weeks a year and every year a special effort is made over the Christmas period.
All the services we provide can only be achieved by the kindness of strangers, so thank you once again – we hope you’re reading this.
