I READ the Star’s front page article about scrambler bikes and the injuries caused to a St Helens girl.
I agree that all these bikes need taking off the road and crushed as a matter of urgency before someone is killed by the morons who ride them.
Having read the article, I walked to Taylor Park and after a few minutes I heard the unmistakeable engine noise of a quad bike.
They where hurtling at high speed around the park. Then this vehicle – a blue quad – was hurtling around the big hill which was full of people with dogs and kids.
Despite complaints to Police Community Support Officers, nothing seems to happen to eradicate this. The Star’s story says ‘Let’s get these bikes off the road’.
So let’s do it instead of just talking.
ST, Eccleston
