HAVING just read the article about St Helens Council putting forward a proposal to encourage shops not to sell The Sun newspaper over its coverage of the Hillsborough disaster I can’t help but think why they feel the need to do this.

Surely if people were offended by The Sun’s coverage over the disaster they will not buy The Sun anyway.

I personally don’t need someone on the council to dictate to me what paper I can or cannot read.

Concentrate on what you can do to improve St Helens and let adults make their own minds up about what paper they want to read over breakfast.
