Build on brownfield
THE Local Plan for St Helens spans 17 years 2016-2033.
The planning department says 59% of new housing developments will take place on brownfield sites.
This, excluding current build and sites with planning permission granted,would satisfy projected demand for at least the next ten years to 2026.
So why do we need to release land from green belt now? I look forward to the planning department and our local councillors responses.
