THE Sacred Heart Presbytery has been an absolute eyesore for years. It is shocking it has taken so long to do something about it.
It was a shame Sacred Heart Church closed and a further tragedy the building could not have been used for other purposes.
There is a former church in Newton-le-Willows that was turned into nice apartments and in Warrington there is a former church being used as an indoor rock climbing centre.
Sadly in St Helens there is literally zero imagination.
Strange that after all these years a random arson attack happens to finish off the Presbytery.
