IN response to Bernard Holmes' letter entitled 'An urban myth' I'm afraid you're wrong about the beggars. Not all of them but some have been quite intimidating whilst you're walking in certain places in town trying to shop.
You wouldn't realise this much if you only come down once or twice a week. I live right near the town centre and I know just how aggressive they can get. some of them aren't really homeless at all, just scroungers running a scam. If you went to the town centre more you'd realise that. Beware of the scroungers.
