THE furore over Cameron's tax returns, so important that the threatened steelworkers jobs have paled into insignificance in the media, (so much for their concern) has set a very important precedent.
I think all politicians should declare all their assets/incomes/tax a fact that USA politicians have to do.
We will expect to see Conor McGinn's and Marie Rimmer's soon printed in the Star and seeing there are many who are happy over Cameron's discomfort. Perhaps, as in one Scandinavian country, we all should declare in public our assets and tax.
My mind boggles at the hypocrisy of those in opposition on an issue where in the case of a wealthy PM who has not evaded tax.
I am sure many Star readers who could have the fortune for their mother to "top up" their inheritance by £200,000 will say to parents "no thank you give it someone else less fortunate" even the cats home. So the sins of our forefathers (in Cameron's case) are to be visited on us all?
