IN THE Star letters on Thursday, February 25, one letter stated: "Where are all the wardens?"
It was of interest to me as I believe St Helens has far too many wardens, however, it referred to dog fouling in Taylor Park.
My wife and I walked around the lake the other week. We would disagree with your correspondent in that we spotted just one incident of fouling. There may have been others we did not spot.
What we do agree upon is that some dog owners, perhaps the majority, care very much for the town.
Unfortunately, there are others who are a disgrace, believing that dogs can train themselves.
They cannot. If you are a bully, your dog may well turn out the same. If a dog is untrained, then make sure it is kept on a lead, and then it cannot attack other dogs and their owners.
Brian Bawden, St Helens
