I WILL be glad to campaign with Conor McGinn on the important issue of the EU.

The Theatre Royal and Lea Green station were both funded through money from the European Social Fund. Lifelong learning and adult education is largely funded from Europe. Business start-up courses and workshops run by the Chamber are funded by European funds.

There is a further £190m to come to Merseyside from European funding to develop skills in this region alone. In respect of trading partners we can choose to move around Europe that we do now which we wouldn't be able to if we left.

Regarding laws being governed by Europe, these give us a 48 hour working week and overtime, proper rest breaks and limits on night working, maternity pay and parental leave, statutory holidays, rights for women not to be dismissed while pregnant, workplace equality and disability rights.

As fas as bailing out other countries, the pound is protected and we will never have to help a country which has the Euro. I hope this helps for anyone who is undecided about what it means for the individual if we leave Europe.
