YEAR after year, fireworks are being sold to mindless morons by make-a-quick-buck retailers.
The police get complaint after complaint, but nothing happens.
I can't believe that in these modern times we are still selling fireworks to any anti-social deadbeat who then sets them off at stupid times of day purely to be anti-social.
We have weeks and weeks of noise pollution around November 5. When is this country going to enforce a total ban on fireworks unless in an organised show?
Come on council, make a stand and be the first to ban all fireworks within the St Helens area, for the sakes of law-abiding citizens, terrified children, pensioners and animals.
