CONGRATULATIONS to Dave Barrow-Yates and fellow campaigners upon your launch of the campaign over parking availability at St Helens Junction station.
After reading the replies from Merseytravel there does not seem any hope that there will be a solution in the near future. While stating this I must also point out that Sutton seems to have a large percentage of drivers who just don't seem to care where they park at any time.
Can I ask why people are daily parking on double yellow lines outside the T.S.B. bank for access to the "hole in the wall" even when police are passing by?
Why are cars parked facing an empty car park every day in Peckershill Rd?
And why are taxis parked next to two, very often empty car parks, in Waterdale Crescent?
Surely if the council or even the law can see this senseless blocking of roads. The installation of more parking space is not necessarily the complete answer to all of the problem, ask any bus driver who has to negotiate Station Road and Peckershill Road during his journeys.
Les Woods, Sutton
