Be gas safe
FOLLOWING on from Gas Safety Week in September I would like to remind home owners in St Helens of pensionable age or working age people with long term health problems/disabilities, that they can telephone their energy supplier and request to be added to the Priority Services Register.
Some energy suppliers provide free gas safety checks to customers on the register although some may also request that the customer be in receipt of a means tested benefit to qualify. It is important to get gas appliances checked to avoid Carbon Monoxide Poisoning/house fires.
