I AM a 52-year-old disabled lady who lives in her wheelchair and I am quite a big lady. My stepson was pushing me to an appointment at Lowe House medical centre on Thursday, September 10 at about 2.45pm when my wheelchair front wheel hit the supposed dropped kerb on the corner of Lowe Street and Randon Grove and I was thrown out of my wheelchair, landing on the road.

I said to my stepson the problem he had now was getting me off the floor as there was no way he would be able to lift me on his own. As I said this, a gentleman ran over asking if he could help and promptly helped my stepson to help me to my feet and get me back in my wheelchair.

I would just like to say thank you to the gentleman, who disappeared as quickly as he appeared, as I most probably would have had to call an ambulance to get back up off the floor.

It just shows there are still some good Samaritans out there. Thank you stranger.
