AS A fully paid up member of the Labour Party I am really disgusted by those who can buy, or have bought for them by their union, a vote in the election for leadership. I am considering resigning from my full membership and "buying" a £3 easy option.

The election smacks of the old "Rotten Borough" of bought votes all which is now needed is the appearance of Colin the Dachshund of the Blackadder fame

If that is not bad enough I am not overwhelmed by the three other candidates that hope to beat Jeremy Corbyn, who appears to be the front runner.

I oppose many of Corbyn's ideas, except on education and railway re-nationalisation.

A recipe, if he is elected, for at least 20 or more years in the wilderness.

Coming out of the woodwork in support of him are those who have had for years no interest in the party nor taken any activity in working for it, many ex Socialist Workers' Party, Trots, closet Communists, Guardian Readers and a plethora of professional left wing protesters/agitators I see on the many marches I have been on in London and elsewhere.

There could even be some Tories wishing to see an easy leader to defeat. Gaining power is what get things done not left-wing posturing as a party of protest.

I will be interested in the view of our two MPs who are supporting either Andy Burnham or Yvette Cooper.

Until then it will be "none of the above" for me unless I see any fight from the other candidates. Corbyn is the "Moses" that will lead us into the wilderness and not the promised land.
