MY family use the badminton club that is based at Broadway.

It started as a way for my eldest son to learn a new sport that he may enjoy. We are not a sporty family but being active is something the local council promotes and something we take to heart.

We discovered they ran a family session so when my son was getting a little disillusioned his dad started to take him to the family sessions.

This resulted in him getting better but in my husband, our two other children and myself joining in.

Sadly, I've learned these sessions are o end. Sometimes the courts are so full at family session you have to take it in turns.

We are so sad that this facility for St Helens families is going especially as it's so popular.

The family sessions run 7pm and 8pm on a Wednesday night.

I have encouraged one friend to go who has had to leave work to care for his partner and it's a great way of him going out and keeping fit and meeting people. Please can someone help as once it's lost I feel it may never return.
