I WOULD like to thank the young man who came to my assistance on Tuesday morning (March 31) at the bottom of Old Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield between 11am and 11.30am.
I was feeling most unwell and desperately in need of help when he came to me and asked if I was alright. When I said no not really he took my shopping bags and helped me to his car which was very close.
He then drove me to my car which wasn't far away.
He sat with me for quite a while. I was concerned thinking I was delaying him. He said he was on two weeks leave from the army and was just doing a bit of painting for his girlfriend so there was no rush.
After a while he said his conscience wouldn't allow him to leave me unattended so he rang for an ambulance.
Once the ambulance arrived he left me in the care of the paramedics and I was taken to A&E.
I didn't get the young man's name or telephone number but his kindness and concern were very much appreciated. He was certainly a very welcome good Samaritan.
