IN response to ‘Stackable recycling bins to have trial run in St Helens’ (Star online, March 19) there is an incredible amount of negativity about this.
It seems to me their intention is replacing the bags with boxes which is a good thing! As for people being alluded to as not being capable of moving the boxes, come on.
We have a black box already!
And you’ll get a trolley to take the boxes outside. Seems 10 times easier than hauling a box, caddy and a couple of bags out in multiple journeys.
This is a positive move. Of course we’re still some way from being able to chuck all the recycling in the same bin, but progress nonetheless!
