I AM infuriated at the insensitive nature of some narrow-minded individuals.
My 21-year-old daughter has multiple sclerosis and is still coming to terms with her diagnosis, so when she parked in a disabled bay at Tesco St Helens using her disabled badge and someone questions why she is parking there it really makes my blood boil.
A man returning to his car shook his head in disgust, so she asked: “What?”
He said: “You’re not disabled!” to which she replied “Yes I am, I have multiple sclerosis.”
He shot back "Sure you have, you just walked up there fine!”
She may not look disabled but why should she have to explain herself?
She was really upset by the confrontation and doesn’t need people judging her. People need to understand that life is tough enough for anyone who has a disability.
