WELL, it’s 2015 and Green candidate James Chan has called for a debate on St Helens Hospital? (Star letters, March 5).
As a strong supporter of St Helens Hospital (and not just this year because of a General Election) I was invited in the campaigns to stop closure of the A & E, and then the minor injuries unit, many years ago. We protested at the Trust’s AGM and handed petitions in and all this was over many years’ involvement with the hospital.
I’m quite happy to stand on my work involvement and support over 25 years at St Helens Hospital. It does raise the question, where were you Dr Chan?
Let 2015 go down on record as the year the Green Party recognised St Helens had a hospital and made its first comment.
