I HEADED out for a walk the other Sunday morning, which was a beautiful day, and could not help but notice the amount of people out exercising.
There were runners, walkers and cyclists – many in groups – all busy getting fit. It’s a big change on a few years ago and perhaps a sign we are heading towards being a healthier town.
That many people are training for the St Helens 10K may have a lot to do with it, but if it drives that sort of change then it shows the importance of putting on these events and that the legacy of Steve Prescott continues to make a difference.
