Why are bins overflowing?
I’M writing regarding the state of litter bins in the town.
In the Knowsley Road area, there seems to be an increasing amount of household rubbish being dumped in street litter bins.
The one outside the medical centre has so much cardboard and bags of food waste in it, it regularly overflows on to the pavement and the bus stop adjacent.
Not only is this a haven for rats and foxes, it looks awful. Although bin collections have changed, most of what we use is recyclable, so there shouldn’t be any need to dump waste.
Will whoever, who is doing this please stop and think. You wouldn’t like it if someone dumped rubbish in your street, so don’t do it anywhere else.
