THANKS for reading our sad old car tale; but this is truly the end of our long and winding trail:

Here’s the end to the story and it really isn’t good:

The car was found far, far away in the wilds of Burtonwood.

Burtonwood’s in Cheshire, don’t you know?

That shouldn’t over-complicate matters though.

Cheshire cops promptly emailed Merseyside who couldn’t access the National Register, though they really, really tried.

We didn’t hear from the police at all; our letter came from ‘recovery’ in Grappenhall.

We’d endured days of silence, stagnation and a lack of information with a resultant worrying situation.

The car had been battered, locks, body, interior and electrics.

It will be really expensive and difficult to fix.

It will be hard to decide but maybe after a while It WILL actually end up in the crusher or on the ‘old wreck’ pile.

So, it’s a big ‘thanks to all’ for the problems they gave and we’re guessing that dear granddad will be turning in his grave.
