MY mum and I are trying to find descendants of Charles Frodsham and Lilian Jones who were married at Holy Trinity Church Parr Mount in 1920.

We are in possession of a standard issue First World War wallet containing photographs and postcards belonging to Charles Frodsham.

During the Battle of the Somme Charles and my great grandfather were together in the trenches when the order came to go “over the top”.

Charles was hit but managed to throw this wallet to my great grandfather and asked him to get it back to his family.

We presumed he had been killed but through further research we came across on the BMD register the record of a marriage between Charles and Lily (whose picture is in the wallet).

We would love to return this wallet to members of their family and wondered if you could help?

We believe the Frodsham family were in the St Helens Parish and that Charles older sister Mary married Thomas Hughes here in 1910. Trying to find out what happened after this is proving very difficult.
