THE Sex Pistols played Manchester before a small excited audience in 1976 inspiring The Buzzcocks, Joy Division and Slaughter and the Dogs.

And of course the Smiths and Simply Red as well as many more bands from Manchester.

In 1978 The Clash played at Eric’s in Liverpool spawning Echo and the Bunnymen, Teardrop and Wah. Liverpool exploded.

In 2014 Krip Hop Nation, a disabled conglomeration from Uganda, USA and Germany brought street susses R&B to St Helens at the Citadel.

Their fusion of jazz blues and hip hop rocked the house, blowing the roof off and a few minds.

The Madlands a St Helens poetry trio were there to inspire a change in direction. Look out for their book ‘It’s a Mad Life’.

Krip Hop Nation are about to wake our imaginations.
