The debate continues to rage over the future of St Helens town centre
IN reply to St Helens Council's proposal to trial free parking on Saturdays, parking is not the reason shoppers don't come to our town.
The problem is that apart from M&S and Tyrers, there are few quality shops here.
Other towns attract shoppers because they have spent money on improving the town centres and attract better-quality shops.
