SOME time ago I wrote about parking problems in Sutton.

Bollards were installed on one side of Peckershill Road to stop traffic causing congestion but now drivers park their vehicles on the other side of the road even facing an empty car park. Bus and lorry drivers must find it an absolute nightmare.

People persisting in parking outside the bank’s hole in the wall causes problems for pedestrians and drivers.

In Station Road railway commuters’ vehicles are parked eight hours a day from Monday to Friday and locals cannot park.

Why is parking in St Helens so strictly monitored and yet Sutton seems to be completely ignored? As regards the Junction Station, there is plenty land available near enough to make access for commuters, I wonder if they would be willing to pay for 8-9 hours parking if meters were involved? We read about the millions of pounds being spent on electrification and billions to get trains to London half an hour quicker yet those in charge cannot see the problems on our existing systems.

Finally may I ask why there are no toilet facilities at the station?
