FROM July 14 parts of the Eccleston and Windle area will be without a local GP practice and pharmacy when the existing facilities move to a new building site in Knowsley Road.

Both areas have a large number of elderly residents.

Those who cannot drive will have no means of transport to these practices as residents do not have a bus service to Knowsley Road.

An ideal site for a GP practice and pharmacy would have been on the derelict site at the Seven Stars. It is a pity our Liberal councillors or the parish council had not considered this proposal as they have known of this move for the past six months.

It is no wonder residents have stopped voting in this area. They feel neglected and disillusioned.
