TWO boys have been placed under anti-social behaviour orders following hearings at St Helens Magistrates' Court.

Police in St Helens worked closely with the council's anti-social behaviour unit to gather evidence which secured an ASBO against Dean Stanley, aged 14, of Ennerdale Avenue, Clinkham Wood.

The restrictions placed on him include not entering Moss Bank Library, not using threatening, intimidating, abusive words or behaviour, not entering private property without the permission of the owner, not drinking alcohol in public or damaging or trying to damage property.

A two-year Anti-Social Behaviour Order was also given to 12-year-old Jake Haines, from Moorwood Crescent, Clock Face, after the court heard he behaved in a manner that caused or was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Restrictions placed on him include not entering Four Acre Lane Shopping Centre, not riding or being carried on a motorcycle or scooter, not using abusive or racist language, not drinking alcohol in a public place and not climbing onto roofs.

If Dean Stanley or Jake Haines breaks any of these conditions, they will be liable, on conviction, to a term of imprisonment, not exceeding five years, a fine, or both.
