TWO off road motorbikes have been seized by police as part of an anti social behaviour drive.

The machines were being used in Wedgewood Gardens, Rainhill.

Officers stopped two local men and also challenged them for allegedly riding without insurance.

The crackdown forms part of the Springwatch campaign in which police, St Helens Council and other community safety partners which clamped down on off road motorcycling.

Neighbourhood Police Inspector Paul Holden at Eccleston said:"Officers were made aware of these bikes being used in this area and targeted their patrol time accordingly.

"We will continue to respond to information from our communities and we will carry on the work with our partners to tackle anti social behaviour in all forms."
