AN 18-YEAR-OLD man will be sentenced next month after admitting sending a series of Facebook messages that were grossly offensive.
Ryan Burgess, 18, of Chain Lane, Blackbrook, sent the messages on the social networking site on December 27.
Appearing before St Helens Magistrates’ Court, he admitted a charge of sending messages that were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
The charges were brought under the Communications Act 2003.
Burgess was granted conditional bail ahead of sentencing on May 28.
Under terms of the bail he must not enter the county of Cumbria nor must he make contacted with two named women.
