A 22-YEAR-OLD man suffered facial wounds when a pint glass was smashed in his face during an alleged racist attack.

Now police have released a CCTV image of three people they want to speak to in connection with the crime.

The victim and another man aged 30, both of Indian origin, were racially abused by two other men and a woman on Hamer Street, off Duke Street, St Helens, before the glassing attack.

Now police want to trace the three people on the image over the attack that happened on Sunday, October 21, at 11pm.

One man is described as white, 5ft 10ins, slim build, and in his mid-20s.

He was bald and wearing a short-sleeved, light-coloured t-shirt and a black jacket. He spoke with a St Helens accent.

The second man is described as white, about 5ft 6ins, with a medium build. He is aged in his mid to late 20s. He had a shaved head and was wearing a black t-shirt with white markings and blue jeans.

The woman is described as white, aged about 23, with a very slim build. She is about 5ft 9ins tall, was wearing a white top and spoke with a local accent.
