GREEN-FINGERED members of a local community group have had their efforts to cultivate their very own ‘Garden of Eden’ honoured with a prestigious award.
Working Worms Community Group went to the Spirit of Merseyside awards at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, where they received the Environmental Impact award. Working Worms were nominated for their efforts to overhaul a local garden for the enjoyment of the people of the community.
The Acre Oasis Gardens, as they are now called, have wildflowers, herbs, a recycling and compost patch and a mini allotment for vegetables.
