A SQUAD of fitness fans didn’t give in to temptation to tuck into those calorie-rich Easter eggs.
Instead the team at Central Fitness in Duke Street rounded up all their chocolate eggs and handed them over to a local community group for the children to enjoy.
More than 50 eggs, enough to fill three large bin bags, were taken by manager Dave Hitchen and his colleagues to the Home-Start group at Peter Street Community Centre.
Last year Central Fitness rounded up eggs for youngsters at a local children’s ward.
Home-Start is a St Helens-based charity that focuses on young families and young parents who have little other support.
Volunteers went out to give the families the eggs and provide that support.
