TWO members of Britpop icons, Ocean Colour Scene, were forced to postpone a gig at the Citadel on Saturday due to illness.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Simon Fowler was suffering from a throat infection, meaning he was unable to perform.
He had been due to join the band’s drummer, Oscar Harrison, for an acoustic set.
In a statement the Citadel the gig had been put back until Friday, November 9.
A spokesman said: “All tickets will be valid for the new date. Refunds will be available from point of purchase from Monday 22nd October.
“Please note the deadline for refunds will be 6pm on Friday 2nd November. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”
A message posted on the band’s Facebook page on Saturday read: “We are very sorry to announce that tonight’s show in St Helens and the show tomorrow night in Wrexham have been postponed.
“Simon has a throat infection and will unfortunately not be able to perform.”
