Police make CCTV appeal after mass brawl
9:40am Monday 22nd October 2012 in News
DETECTIVES investigating a mass brawl that erupted outside a pub have issued a series of CCTV stills.
Violence flared outside The Red Lion public house in Market Place, Prescot, leaving three men, aged 28 and 29, and a 29-year-old woman with injuries.
Police later charged two 26-year-old men with violent disorder.
However, a number of other people fled the scene prior to the arrival of police patrols and detectives have now made a belated appeal about the incident that happened over the summer.
Four men, all aged in their 20s, were initially arrested near to the scene on suspicion of assault.
Three of them have been bailed pending further enquiries and no further action will be taken against a 28-year-old.
A Merseyside Police statement read: "We are treating this extremely seriously and urge people to help us bring the people responsible to justice."
