Three charged over Hardshaw Street assault

Crime scene: Hardshaw Street on Friday afternoon.
THREE men have been charged in connection with the assault of a man and woman in St Helens town centre.
Peter Gornall, aged 32, of North Road; Paul Middlehurst, aged 31, of North Road; and Ryan Middlehurst, aged 22, of College Street, are due to appear before St Helens Magistrates’ Court later today.
Emergency services were called to flats on Hardshaw Street, above Barclays Bank, at about 12.15pm on Friday following reports of an attack.
Officers found a 22-year-old man with injuries to his head and a woman with bruising to her face.
