Sky Sports' Fraser Dainton joins Pride of St Helens team

SKY Sports presenter Fraser Dainton has been given a late call up to the presenting team for the Pride of St Helens awards.

He will host the night alongside Saints ace and Star columnist Jon Wilkin, and Mike Denning, chair of the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Organisers decided on a reshuffle after Prescott, who was due to be a co-host, was admitted to hospital after a gruelling 48-hour endurance challenge.

Martin Blondel said: “We’d like to thank Fraser for stepping in at short notice. He’s a big supporter of the Foundation and didn’t hesitate in accepting Steve’s invitation.

“Steve is understandably disappointed he has had to drop out from being a host but we thought it best that he focuses on getting better and are hopeful he will be able to attend.”
