Janet brings history to life

ST HELENS U3A Society invite all retired, semi-retired and mature, part-time workers to a talk at St Helens Town Hall on Wednesday, October 10, at 10am.

The talk, which is entitled Nine Lives, is being given by Janet Bradshaw, a history interpreter at Tatton Park, who will cover history between the Saxon period and The Second World War.

The University of the Third Age, known as U3A, is an organisation that has been in the UK for 30 years.

The St Helens branch started two years ago, and has more 440 members in the area.

The aim of the U3A is to provide people of a mature age with activities in later life.

It offers about 40 groups, and members have the opportunity to meet other people who are of a similar age and enjoy new hobbies together.
