Man admits breaking into cars

A THIEF who broke into cars has been given a suspended prison sentence.
St Helens Magistrates’ Court heard how Andrew Hibbert, 32, stole a £100 CD player from a car in Newton-le-Willows on August 25.
He also attempted to break into a vehicle and damaged a car on August 15.
Hibbert, of Silverdale Road, Newton, pleaded guilty to one count of theft, one of attempted theft and criminal damage.
He was sentenced to a three-month jail term that is suspended for 12 months.
He will be under supervision for 12 months, must undergo treatment for alcohol dependency, and pay fines of £150 to two victims.
