Woman, 76, in critical condition following crash

A 76-YEAR-OLD woman taxi passenger is in a critical condition following a car crash car, it has emerged.

The Star reported last week how emergency services were called to Cowley Hill Lane, near to the junction of Keswick Road, following a collision between a silver Skoda Octavia taxi and a black Renault Laguna.

Now police have revealed the 76-year-old passenger of the taxi has serious injuries and is in a critical condition in hospital.

Firefighters had to remove a door of the taxi to free the pensioner.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, which happened at about 6.35pm, on Tuesday, September 25, is asked to call the collision investigation unit on 0151 777 5444 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
